Testimonials
Dr. Grosdidier has been our family dentist for over 4 years. When we decided to switch over to him, I had heard that he was amazing and that I would not be disappointed. He has exceeded all of those expectations and is unparalleled to those in his field. He is extremely caring and gentle when working on my teeth, but my favorite thing about him is his ethics in practicing dentistry. He truly cares about his patients and does not push doing more to your mouth than absolutely needed. When I had my first consultation with Dr. Grosdidier, I came with a laundry list of things that my previous dentist said I needed done, adding up to thousands of dollars of out of pocket expenses for me. Dr. Grosdidier cut what needed to be done in half. The crowns that I was told I needed from another dentist only required fillings. Dr. G even put a little camera in my mouth and showed me on a screen that one of the teeth that I was told needed to be filled was perfectly healthy. He consistently tries to help save his patients money and does a phenomenal job of helping my family keep our teeth and gums healthy for a lifetime. He is truly invested in practicing superb dentistry by educating his patients on great dental hygiene and not performing unnecessary procedures. My children love going to him too! He is so patient with them and encouraging when he is working on their teeth. My eight year old needed to have a few fillings, and I was so nervous that my son would not do well. I was so impressed with Dr. Grosdidier and his staff after watching them do his fillings. They were absolutely amazing with him and made it such a positive experience. My kids love going to the dentist, because they get to joke around with Dr. G. I could not have found a better dentist and am always happy to pass his name on to anyone needing a dentist. Every single person that I have referred to Dr. Grosdidier has called me after the appointment to tell me how much they love him and to thank me for giving them his name. He lives up to his excellent reputation, and I am always confident that anyone I send to him will not be disappointed.

Several years ago I was diagnosed with a moderate form of sleep apnea (averaging upwards of 20+ apnea events per hour during a normal night of sleep). Upon completion of formal sleep study, my medical doctor prescribed a CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) solution to remedy the apnea events. Unfortunately, only after about 1 week of attempts to use the CPAP treatment solution, it was immediately determined I was “CPAP intolerant” as the device and corresponding headgear were just too cumbersome/uncomfortable for me.
I began to research other treatment alternatives, most notably a surgical option for those who reject CPAP treatment or are not helped by it. I met with an Ear/Nose/Throat Specialist to discuss surgery option which essentially is a procedure to remove tissue in the throat and improve the flow of air. This may or may not include removal of the uvula, soft palate, tonsils, adenoids, and pharynx. After meeting with my Specialist, I was deemed to be an eligible surgery candidate (primarily because of my CPAP intolerance); however, the Specialist only provided a 50% success rate for the procedure and also indicated the recovery period was long (several weeks) and painful.
The 50% success rate was not a statistic that particularly provided me comfort to pursue surgery option, thus I again started to explore more treatment alternatives. Fast forward to June, 2011 where during a routine dental exam I raised my sleep apnea disorder to Dr. Lynne Schopper at S&G Dentistry and inquired about possible oral appliance therapy. Dr. Lynne proceeded to inform me that her partner (Dr. Jarrett Grosdidier) was actually doing research and trialing several different appliance alternatives for sleep apnea disorders. Timing was perfect!
I immediately met with Dr. G and began the process of being fitted for the oral appliance which is a custom-made mouthpiece that shifts the lower jaw forward, opening up the airway while you sleep. The results have been astounding and I couldn’t be happier. My adjustment to sleeping with the appliance has almost been seamless and my wife loves it too (virtually no more snoring!!). And best of all, subsequent sleep studies have indicated that I have reduced my apnea events to less than 5 per hour (the normal range), a reduction of over 75% from my initial diagnosis and formal sleep study!
Dr. G and the entire S&G Dentistry team were great throughout the entire process and extremely diligent in ensuring my specific needs for my situation were adequately addressed. For anyone (like me) where CPAP and/or surgery treatment solutions are not viable alternatives, I would highly recommend consideration of oral appliance therapy. Further, the kind and professional folks at S&G Dentistry will ensure you have a pleasant experience along the way!
Sincerely,
Jerry Kaufmann
